The worst part about the Vex monopoly is the fact that their parts… how do I put this?
Got it. Their parts suck. Electronics are unreliable, it’s backed-up to saturn, and each robot costs more than a low-end car. They just did a recall on motors, right? (Or they didn’t, from what I’m seeing they’re asking their consumers to buy new parts instead of offering replacements.)

At my elementary school, we had FIRST LEGO LEAGUE, and that goes through 6th grade I believe. I head LEGO is discontinuing MINDSTORMS. This is bad news, because they were the one best competitor for elementary school and early middle school.

exactly with like how some people in chief Delphi were complaining about how the falcon 500s were always on backorder because there was no limit on how many you could order at a time so big teams with lots of money just ordered all of them and then they had performance issues. AND THEY WERE EXPENSIVE

I feel bad for the mod team lately, this site has been blowing up with post on post on post. They’ve been oddly quiet with everything going on. To any mods reading this, we appreciate your work. We aren’t going after you or anything you’ve done, we’re after the Vex company.

This is true, we are grateful for all of the work and time you mods put into this. We know someone of you have families, and this mess is making you miss out on time with them.

The incredible amount of disregard is completely astonishing. Instead of actually fixing the problem, you are too worried about covering up the issue and saving your company. Did you ever stop for a moment and think that if you actually fixed the problem instead of ignoring it, you wouldn’t have to worry about saving your company? Last time I checked, maybe start believing the words of your employees?
Tell me, why would someone post something negative about you without a reason for doing it? Not everything is a lie, and some things are true, and have been proven true. No need to keep ignoring it. You are actually causing more of a problem by looking down on victims just for exposing the inner, filthy, and disgusting workings of VEX and IFX. That is cruel, speaking against those who expose you and share the truth of what really goes on.
AGAIN, this has NOTHING to do with your competitors, or your competitive businesses. You literally stated that these that spoke out were YOUR employees, YOUR employees posting negative things and speaking out. Tell me, how does them being YOUR employees have to do with your competitors?
Almost ALL companies have this, but does that stop those companies from having issues like this? NO. NOT AT ALL. Other companies still have victims of sexual harassment, that’s inevitable. But allowing it to go on, even when the company knows about it, that’s up to the company. You made the decision to let it go on, you made the decision to do NOTHING but cover up your own mistakes you could have prevented.
I agree, having women in authoritative positions adds diversity and opens up another generation where women can flourish, just as much as men. But the thing that actually needs to be addressed, is PROTECTING these women, as well as HOLDING THEM ACCOUNTABLE. Women are not fragile objects that need to be handled with care and exempt from the rules. This situation is exactly an example of this. Sure, women are more fragile in comparison to men, but that DOES NOT mean they are capable of doing things that are AGAINST a COMPANY POLICY or BASIC MORALS.
DURING THAT TIME. I’m sorry, but if you haven’t noticed, it isn’t ‘during that time’ anymore. We are in a whole new CENTURY, where things are very much DIFFERENT than they were before. And just because it hadn’t happened then, doesn’t mean that it CAN’T happen NOW. Please, wake up and smell the air of the new century. PLEASE.
ALSO, I don’t know if you have noticed, but it’s kinda HARD to have the courage to speak out, and this pressure and hate you are putting on these victims shows that. Putting yourself as the victim only makes people angrier, considering YOU are the culprit.
Look at your wording. Any CAN get attacked, but not all DO. You are robbing these victims of their voice, which is why it took so long for them to use it. You can’t blame this on some ‘internet scandal’ when it’s clearly NOT. The horrible actions of your employees, past or present, are disgusting and repulsive, and as such, those employees responsible should be held accountable for their actions, not let off with a warning why you ignore the problems at hand.
AGAIN, the WORDING. Calling them ‘attackers’ clearly puts you in a position that shows that YOU ARE TRYING TO PLAY THE VICTIM. Please listen: YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM. STOP ACTING LIKE IT.
(Also, whatever PR firm you had write this, man I feel sorry for them, because, with this message, their business is sure to be doomed.)

If you are so certain that you are the victim here, you might want to consider doing some litigation. Yes it will cost you time and money, but you are going to spend a lot of time on this issue. Also, you are going to lose a non-negligible amount of money due to consumers choosing not to buy from you.

I completely agree with this but they probably wont lose very much money at all as teams have to buy from vex to be able to compete and have to buy from vex to remain competitive and vex is basically the only competitive robotics program for MS and most teams that are already VRC wont spend the time and money to switch to FRC or FTC.

Don’t know where all that money I spent is either, buying 16 motors for an 8 motor robot because half of them will spontaneously break, dare I preach the idea that pockets might have a green tint over there.
That’s a cool fact, now what does that change? Using your demographic in senior leadership as a reason for innocence is sickening. I am an Asian high school senior, nothing would dig deeper into my stomach than if my school used me as a shield from accusations of racism within the walls. But I’ve made it to a top social hierarchy position so clearly everything is fine right?

You’re also saying that since I’ve haven’t been the victim of a racially motivated hate crime, it will never happen right? There’s no other way to read this.
I happen to believe criminals who premeditate crimes know the “policies” as well. I also happen to believe sexual harassment falls within the realm of “law” and not “policy”.
I am disappointed in you, however many “yous” there are that decided this was okay to write this post. This wasn’t even covering your butt, this was pretending nothing was happening.
When it was brought into question whether or not the LGBTQ+ community was safe in vex, Dan Mantz posted a response that left me shaking my head. He mentioned the issue without addressing and covered his butt. I thought that was as low as it got.
If you have the boldness to say these accusations may be fake, then prove it, investigate it and prove it before taunting the idea that nothing is wrong.
The community is not only disappointed in you, you are simply the disappointment. You let us down. You failed. You failed your staff and the community.
You had the highest opportunity to even pretend to do something and you couldn’t even do that. Instead you acted as if nothing is wrong.
You. Vex Robotics, you failed.

The "boycott vex? was recently nuked with response from the admins. I would like IFI to know that people will continue to talk about boycotting you on Discord and Chief Delphi. If you are so worried about people boycotting your products, maybe do something about the situation.

I would like to remind everyone participating in discussion here to consider the weight and importance of this topic. I’m seeing a lot of posts that are joking about the situation, and while ifi as a company is certainly seeming more and more like a joke, the subject matter here is not. Spamming posts and making jokes discredits the serious nature of this situation, and gives the impression of enjoying the chaos, which is not appropriate and is not helpful. Additionally, please take time to consider if what you are typing is helpful, accurate, and appropriate for the situation before hitting reply.
This is a very difficult time for vrc, and taking advantage (intentionally or not) of the circumstances to spam and meme about a serious topic is not helpful.
