Question Regarding Internal Motor Position

Quick question about the stored motor positions. If the motor continues to move after autonomous, due to its momentum, will the position continue to update? If I reference the position in driver control, will it accurately update its movements? Can’t test right now as I don’t have a comp switch and timed run jumps straight into driver control. I use vexCode pro btw.


Yes, this will continue to update. This information is determined by the motor itself, and field control doesn’t affect that.
